Rev. Sharon D. Jones is the Human Resource Pastor for New Hope’s Church and Kiddie Kollege daycare. She loves building the Kingdom of God with her husband and senior pastor, Dr. Aaron R. Jones. She serves on the Church of God DELMARVA-DC Women’s Discipleship Board, World Missions Board, and the Resolutions Committee. She conducts monthly morning devotions with the Catherine Foundation Pregnancy Crisis Center in Waldorf, Maryland. She serves as Vice President of the International Kingdom Women’s Coalition, Inc. (IKWC) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Sharon preached and facilitated worship services at the D.C. Corrections Corporation of America for Women for 15 years.
Sharon is a native Washingtonian. She was reared in the heart of Southeast D.C. Presently, Sharon is a doctoral student at Logos University in Jacksonville, FL. She received her early education in the D.C. Public School system. In 1993, she earned a B.S. degree in Telecommunication with a concentration in Mass Media from Morgan State University. In 1999, she earned a M.A. degree in Administrative Management with a concentration in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University. Sharon has twenty years of experience in human resource management and development; secondary and undergraduate education; and marketing and sales.
Like the Apostle Paul, she counts all those things as dung when she compares it to her life in Christ Jesus. Sharon answered the call to ministry in 2000, and became an Ordained Minister in 2002. Understanding the need to study to show herself approved, she earned a Bachelor in Ministry and a Master in Theological Studies from the National Bible College and Seminary in Fort Washington, MD. She is a former professor at the National Bible College and Seminary. Sharon is the author of a book titled, R.E.W.A.R.D.: Restoring Every Woman’s Adrenaline Rush to Disciple.
